OUR FEES

In our view the benefits of engaging with a financial adviser far outweigh the costs.  One study highlighted that receiving professional financial advice over a five-year period*, resulted in a total boost to wealth (in pensions and financial assets) of £47,7061.

However, it's important to be up front about the cost of financial advice.  By providing you with a clear explanation of our fees at every stage of the process, before we proceed with any chargeable work, we ensure there are no hidden surprises for our clients.

We will provide you with an estimate of our charges following the first meeting and we will always obtain your consent before we proceed with any chargeable work.

INITIAL MEETING

Our initial discovery meeting is always conducted at our expense.  You are not making a commitment at this stage and gives us both the opportunity if we can work together and what services may be required.

RESEARCH & IMPLEMENTATION

This is where we find out about you, what your current financial position is and what your objectives are.  Once we have conducted the appropriate research we will present our recommendation.

We will provide a personalised financial planning document to you that outlines all of the areas for consideration.  We can then put this plan into action by putting in place any changes we've recommended.

COST

We can agree fees as follows:

A PERCENTAGE OF THE AMOUNT INVESTED
We may agree to charge you based on a percentage of the amount you decide to invest:

• For stages 1,2 & 3 we typically charge an initial advice fee of 2% of the amount you decide to invest.
• For our ongoing service, we typically charge 0.50% of the value of your investments per annum.  Our typical minimum for the Precision Service is £500 per year.

A FIXED FEE
This is the simplest method of agreeing a fee.  We agree a fixed monetary amount for the work that we carry out.  Once agreed the fee is payable only when we have completed the work.  We will always describe the fee in £GBP and this is the only currency in which we can accept payment.  The exact amount of the fee will depend on your circumstances and the work to be completed.

AN HOURLY RATE
We can agree to work on an hourly rate.  Our typical hourly rates are around £150 per hour depending on the work involved, the experience and qualifications of the Adviser, and your needs.  We will provide an indication of the likely time involved in any work we do for you, or you can ask us not to exceed a fixed amount without contacting you first.
